Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, I actually used to model for a living. Although it wasn't as fulfilling or intellectually stimulating as my current career, taking pictures for catalogs and magazines was a great way to make some money and see the world.

 

I lived in Paris, Munich, New York, Toronto, Tokyo and Taipei to work for various modeling agencies. And photo shoots often took me even further away. Great locations included the Canary Islands, Austria, St.Bart's and Nevis, among others.

 

These days I'm based in Cleveland, Ohio, and traveling for work means going to Lorain, Canton or Ashtabula for the day. Occasionally I go out on the town at night, and it seems every time I make an appearance at an event or function, I am "stalked" by Cleveland Paparazzo Virgil Wilson.

 

After many of these candid moments, he convinced me to dredge up some mojo from the old glory days and do an entire shoot with him. Virgil has a special eye for finding the glamor in everyone... even someone who's old enough to know better, like myself. It was a freezing cold day when we took these shots, but somehow he siphoned a few relaxed looks out of my face.

 

Cleveland is lucky that Virgil is based here, to inject a little jet-set panache of his own into our North Coast city.
